Offshore Gas Extraction
Natural gas is extracted from 30 wells located in the North Field, offshore Qatar.
Pipeline Transportation and Refinement
The gas is transported via underwater sea lines to our processing plant in Ras Lafan. By-products are extracted to produce lean gas.
Subsea Pipeline Transport
The lean gas is transported via a 48 inch, 364 km subsea export pipeline, routed in a way to avoid breeding grounds and marine habitats.
Arrival and Distribution in Abu Dhabi
The gas reaches our receiving facilities in Taweelah, Abu Dhabi. From there, the gas isdistributed to power stations and desalination plants across the UAE and Oman through acomplex pipeline network.
